The night sky is a clock. A celestial timekeeper as predictable as the sunrise. Humans have been staring at the sky for thousands of years, seeing all sorts of things...animals, gods, even images of themselves. It’s been a visage of fear, delight and adornment and even today we teeter on the edge of the science of astronomy and the mysticism of astrology. What does the night sky tell us? More to the point of this project is, “What did the sky tell them?”

Until recently, modern day Maya have contributed relatively little to the 2012 phenomenon since only a small number have had prior exposure to the topic. Yet, in spite of a general lack of familiarity with Mayan culture outside the Mayan homeland of Guatemala, Mexico and Belize, several hundred websites in dozens of languages and a growing number of books already focus on the 2012 subject.

The purpose of this workshop is to discuss the the many theories of the Mayan Mystique and send you on your way with an understanding of what has morphed from the 2012 Prophecy to the 2012 Phenomenon.

While in the Yucatan in 2008, we had the opportunity to interview Pastor Kamal, an indiginous Maya who's grandfather was a holy man in his village. He gave us one interpretation.
